Secondhand canvas wrapped with two “CONTRAPTIONS“ prints that were printed onto white and orange secondhand test tees, one breaking through the other. I hand stitched the bottom side of the white strip to ensure that it cannot move, but I left the edges of the other strips to curl over time to provide additional texture and depth to the piece.
This design was hand drawn, scanned, edited, and printed using plastisol ink in Pittsburgh, PA.
Each print is unique. Textures and inconsistencies highlight the pre-existing wear and/or human-touch that each piece now showcases.
